George Stokes, DVMDr. Stokes, our Chief of Staff, has been practicing at Ridgeville Animal Hospital for 35 years. A native of Lancaster, he now resides in Grafton, Ohio. Dr. Stokes completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University (OSU). He then pursued veterinary studies at OSU, earning his DVM degree in 1978. Prior to Ridgeville Animal Hospital, Dr. Stokes worked for a year at a dairy and small animal practice in Ashland. He has a special interest in extensive dental procedures and has been receiving veterinary dental referrals for over 25 years.

When not at the hospital, Dr. Stokes enjoys golf, OSU sports (particularly football and basketball, he's a season ticket holder), good food, and spending time with family, including his pets — a Shih Tzu named Sparky and a cat named Salem. He and his wife, who is a retired North Ridgeville City school teacher, often visit their two daughters and two grandchildren in Columbus.

Amber Ziemba, DVMDr. Ziemba has been practicing at Ridgeville Animal Hospital since 2009. She grew up in Hinckley and now lives in Avon Lake, Ohio. Dr. Ziemba completed undergraduate studies at Miami University before attending Ohio State University (OSU), earning a DVM degree in 2004. Prior to joining the Ridgeville Animal Hospital team, she practiced veterinary medicine in Xenia.

In her free time, Dr. Ziemba enjoys traveling, downhill skiing, and reading. Her pets include a Labrador Retriever mix named Olive; three cats named Chooch, Fonzie and Shiva; and a goldfish.

Dr. Lauren Cross, DVMDr. Cross joined the Ridgeville Animal Hospital team in February 2016. A true Ohio girl at heart, she grew up in Bay Village, attended Wittenberg University and then went on to attain her DVM from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Before joining our team, Dr. Cross practiced large and small animal medicine in upstate New York and small animal medicine in Seven Hills, Ohio. From these experiences, she has a taken a special interest in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, internal medicine and pocket pet medicine.

Dr. Cross lives in North Royalton with her husband and two rescued tabby cats- Fiona and Charlie (they rule the house!). In her spare time, she loves volunteering at Friendship Animal Protection League in in Elyria, cooking, and traveling with her husband.
